"Spanish novelist Ana Maria Matute has won the Cervantes Prize, the Spanish-speaking world's highest literary honour. The 85-year-old said she was "enormously happy" to win the 125,000 euro (£106,000) Spanish prize. Matute is regarded as one of Spain's best post-Civil War writers and her work often centres on the conflict. The author is only the third woman to win the award since it was created in 1975" - BBC
