Apple's iBookstore Canada approved
"The Canadian federal government has approved Apple's iBookstore Canada after the company made several promises, including the promotion of titles by Canadian authors. "Apple has demonstrated how iBookstore Canada represents new opportunities for Canadian authors and publishers, and I have determined that this investment will be of net benefit to Canada," Heritage Minister James Moore said in a statement. In addition to a commitment to promote books by Canadians in both French and English, Apple Canada said it would increase access to titles by aboriginal authors and publishers and provide help to Canadian publishers with creating e-books" - CBC
