Libraries, Resources and Information Management for External Engagement (UK)
"This is a free one-day event, exploring the role of library and information management services in support of their institution's engagement with external partners. Extending access to resources and data to external organisations and individuals can represent a significant change in policy, process and responsibility for libraries and information management services. This could see services acting, not only as gatekeepers with expertise in the curation and management of learning resources, licensed materials, research data and publications, but also as part of a shopfront for the knowledge assets of their institution. This workshop provides an opportunity for you to explore the challenges presented by such a strategic change, as well as exchange experience and solutions to common issues" - 25 May, 2010 - Aston University, UK
