Financed by the EC's eTEN Programme, the Touch & Turn Virtual Library project has won first prize for the best web based/virtual application at the NODEM (Nordic Digital Excellence of Museums) Conference. The Virtual Library provides an innovative way of facilitating public access to rare, fragile and valuable material, giving users the experience of turning the pages of an original document, with zoom, translation and commentary capabilities in an unlimited number of languages
