LSE Retrospective Catalogue Conversion
The Library of the London School of Economics and Political Science has completed a Retrospective Catalogue Conversion project to convert all records for items listed in the Library's older card catalogues, making it one of the first major UK research libraries to have all its holdings catalogued online. Completion of this major project means that records for all Library items can be accessed by researchers working anywhere in the world. Some 305,000 items were converted in this final phase, completing records for all stock acquired by the Library from its foundation in 1896 until the early 1980s, when the computerised catalogue began
