The 12th annual SHARP conference will be held in Lyons, France, 20-24 July auspices of the Institut d'histoire du livre. The main topic of the conference will be "Crossing Borders" : cultural transfers between the old and the new worlds, on both sides of the Atlantic and Pacific. Presentations of European archival sources for the history of the book are also encouraged. As always, SHARP welcomes proposals for papers dealing with the creation, diffusion, or reception of the written or printed word in any place or historical period
