The Scottish Reformation (National Library of Scotland)

The National Library of Scotland is marking the 450th anniversary of the Scottish Reformation with a small display of significant books, manuscripts and letters. Exhibits range from pre-Reformation Catholic writings to texts by leading figures and printed books which promoted or debated church reform. One of Scotland's key Reformers was preacher John Knox (pictured left) – perhaps the best-known figure represented in the display
