The printed papers of colonial governments held by the Colonial Office, including government gazettes and sessional papers of colonial assemblies and parliaments, contain a wealth of detail for historians and genealogists. This podcast outlines the content of the printed papers from the first half of the 19th century to the end of empire; a rich but underused resource. Dan Gilfoyle studied history at the universities of the Witwatersrand, London and Oxford.
