BBC to throw open its archive of film and radio treasures

"The BBC is to do more to earn its licence fee by sharing its resources with arts institutions, its creative director, Alan Yentob, has revealed. The initiative will give organisations such as the British Library, the Tate and the British Film Institute access to film and audio archives as well as historic documents and technical skills" - The Guardian
