Detailed maps of
Scotland in the 1890s, 1940s and the 1950s have been scanned and added to the National Library of Scotland's online maps collection. Showing features such as streets, buildings, rivers and roads, the maps allow web users to view the same place at different times in the past. Google satellite and map overlays also help people compare how places have changed from Victorian times to the 21st century
