February 5th – Save our libraries day of action (UK)

From CILIP (UK) - "On Saturday, February 5th, library lovers across the UK are coming together for a day of action to raise awareness, and to show how much they value their libraries. There are many ways to get involved. CILIP have a great sliding scale of actions, suggesting how you can use whatever spare time you have to get involved. Libraries around the country are also planning read-ins. Read-ins are a way of demonstrating the need for public libraries, and we have some information and advice on holding or attending read-ins here. If you’re attending a read-in, why not let people know by signing up for the event on Facebook?"
