The Urban Library Program encourages people to consider a career in a library setting. It prepares participants for employment in libraries by using a teaching-learning model that combines theory and hands-on work experience. The program also provides career opportunities for members of diverse communities historically underrepresented in the library workforce. Upon completion of the Urban Library certificate, students have the option to seek employment in a library or to continue their studies
