On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Nunavut, Library and Archives Canada (LAC) is hosting a one-day celebratory event to promote informed reflection and dialogue on the past, present and future of Nunavut. In consultation with the people of Nunavut, and using the historical collection at Library and Archives Canada, the day will feature the culture and people of Nunavut through a presentation of photographs, film, storytelling and geography, presented and interpreted by members of the community. An evening panel will take place to discuss how Nunavut has contributed to Canada and how has it changed our thinking about Canada's environment. January 29, 2009
